The company just told its newsletter subscribers that a brand-new show is coming under the Big Top in Montréal and Gatineau in 2027 — and nobody gets to know anything about it until October 20. That’s the headline. The fine print is pretty good too.
What we actually know about the mystery show
The teaser went out on October 8 under the subject line “Which World Will You Choose?” Beyond the location (Montréal and Gatineau) and the year (2027), Cirque is keeping the concept, the name, and the cast completely under wraps. The October 20 reveal date is twelve days away, and a waitlist is already open for people who want first dibs on details. No trailer, no cast list, no theme hints — just a promise.
Meanwhile, the show we can see: LE LO LAI in Puerto Rico
While the 2027 mystery simmers, Cirque has already given us a fully announced, ticketed show to get excited about. LE LO LAI is the company’s first production built from the ground up as a limited series for Puerto Rico, and its world premiere lands Friday, February 12, 2027, at the Coca-Cola Music Hall at DISTRITO T-Mobile in San Juan.
The run is tight — 30 performances through March 21, 2027 — presented by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company with PRISA Presents and No Limit Entertainment. Tickets went on sale to Banco Popular customers on October 7 and opened to the general public on October 9.
The story and the sound
LE LO LAI follows Miguel, a musician who returns to Puerto Rico carrying his cuatro — the island’s emblematic instrument. Around him, a live band plays bomba, plena, salsa and reggaeton right alongside the acrobats, so the music isn’t decoration, it’s the engine of the show.
The score was built with Puerto Rican composer and musical director Ángel “Cucco” Peña, and the creative team includes creative director Emilie Emiroglou, choreographer Danny Lugo, costume designer Joshuan Aponte, and cultural advisor Paloma Suau. The title comes from a refrain in traditional Puerto Rican folk music — a sound of joy, nostalgia and celebration. At about 75 minutes and open to all ages, it doubles as a family night out and a cultural homecoming.
The rest of the Cirque calendar
A quick tour of where the company stands:
“O” keeps breaking its own records in Las Vegas. The Bellagio show is now 28 years old — it opened October 15, 1998, the same week the hotel did. More than 20 million spectators have seen it, and it hit 12,000 performances in February 2025. The operation behind it is staggering: a 1.5-million-gallon pool, 25 feet deep, 75 artists, 130 technicians, eight former Olympians, water kept at 88°F, 14 scuba divers and 26 underwater speakers every night. Ninety minutes, no intermission.
Drawn to Life continues at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida, where Disney animation storytelling meets Cirque artistry.
ALIZÉ is having a moment in Berlin. The show at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz is Cirque’s first-ever European residency, launched in November 2025, and it has already passed 500,000 tickets sold. In September 2026, producer Live Nation announced new performances through the end of 2027. It’s performed entirely without spoken word.
